Every NailTeller story includes a location to help readers understand where the experience took place.

Your story location should always be the State and City where the main event actually happened.

What is a story location?

A story location identifies where the events in your story took place.

On NailTeller, a complete location includes:

• The State where the event happened
• The City within that State

The location is not necessarily where you currently live. It should represent where the story happened.

For example, if you now live in California but your story happened at a nail salon in Houston, you should select Texas as the State and Houston as the City.

Why choosing the correct location matters

An accurate location helps NailTeller organize stories and makes them easier for readers to discover.

Choosing the correct State and City:

• Helps readers discover stories from their local area
• Makes browsing by city and state easier

There is no best location to choose. The correct location is simply where the main event in your story took place.

How to choose the correct location

First, select the State where the event happened.

Next, select the City within that State.

If your story includes several places, choose the location where most of the story took place or where the most important event occurred.

For example, imagine that a nail technician worked in several salons during the same week, but the main incident happened at a salon in Charlotte, North Carolina. The story location should be Charlotte, North Carolina.

Do not select a different city simply because you currently live or work there.

Tips for choosing the right location

• Always choose where the story actually happened.
• If you have moved, use the original location of the event.
• If several locations are mentioned, choose where the main event occurred.
• Use the salon’s location when the story is mainly about something that happened inside the salon.
