How to find stories

NailTeller makes it easy to discover real stories and experiences from the nail industry.

You can browse the latest stories, search with keywords, explore specific locations, choose a story category, or sort stories based on reader activity.

There is no single best way to find stories. Choose the method that works best for you, or try several methods to discover something unexpected.

Browse the latest stories

One of the easiest ways to discover stories is to browse the newest stories published on NailTeller.

Scroll through the story feed to explore different experiences from salon customers, nail technicians, salon owners, and other members of the nail community.

You may find an interesting story even when you are not searching for a specific topic.

Find stories by keyword

Use the Find feature when you want to look for a particular person, place, service, or topic.

You can enter keywords such as:

  • A salon name
  • A city
  • A nail service
  • A person’s name
  • A workplace topic
  • A specific event or experience

For example, you might search for:

  • “pedicure infection”
  • “salon owner dispute”
  • “nail technician tips”
  • “Houston nail salon”
  • “customer refused to pay”

Specific keywords usually produce more useful results. If a broad keyword returns too many stories, add another word to narrow your search.

Find stories by State

You can browse stories connected to a specific State.

This is helpful when you want to discover nail industry experiences happening in your own area or learn what is happening in another part of the country.

For example, selecting California may show stories from cities such as Westminster, Garden Grove, Los Angeles, or San Jose.

The story location represents where the main event happened. It may not be where the person who posted the story currently lives.

Find stories by category

Story Categories organize similar types of stories together.

Browsing by category can help you focus on the kinds of experiences that interest you most.

For example, you may want to explore stories about salon customers, nail technicians, workplace conflicts, relationships, unusual experiences, or other nail industry topics.

Try exploring categories you would not normally choose. You may discover stories and perspectives that you did not expect.

Sort stories

Sorting options help you change the order in which stories appear.

Available options may include:

  • Newest: Shows recently published stories first.
  • Most Read: Shows stories that have received the most views.
  • Most Reacted: Shows stories that have received the most reader reactions.
  • Most Commented: Shows stories with the most active discussions.

Use Newest when you want to see what was recently shared.

Use Most Read, Most Reacted, or Most Commented when you want to discover stories that are receiving attention from the NailTeller community.

Sorting options are applied immediately, so you can quickly switch between them while browsing.

Open a story

Tap or click a story card to open the complete story.

The full story may include additional details, photos, reactions, comments, and information about where the experience happened.

After reading, continue browsing to discover related stories, similar categories, or other experiences from the same location.

Tips for finding interesting stories

  • Try different versions of the same keyword.
  • Use a city name instead of a salon name when your search is too narrow.
  • Browse different States to discover experiences outside your area.
  • Explore categories you do not normally read.
  • Sort stories in different ways to find popular or active discussions.
  • Check back regularly because new stories are added over time.
  • Browse the story feed even when you do not have a specific search in mind.
